A flintlock blunderbuss
Signed John Connel, circa 1700, possibly Irish
With two-stage brass barrel belled at the muzzle, signed rounded lock roughly engraved with birds' heads, buds and foliage, and fitted with priming magazine within the back of the steel, operated by gears and filled via the top (cover blown away), moulded full stock (minor damage with raised apron behind the barrel tang, brass mounts including pierced and engraved side-plate, turned ramrod-pipes, iron saddle-ring, and original wooden ramrod (trigger-guard replaced)
