With rebrowned two-stage barrel with silver spider fore-sight, the octagonal breech with engraved triangular silver inlays, signed on a silver ribbon on the top flat and with gold-lined stamp, a lion segeant, within three small gold-lined decorative marks, and gold-lined touch-hole, engraved tang, signed bevelled lock with roller, stepped tail, and gold-lined pan with water drains, figured walnut half-stock inlaid with a bird and a dog in silver sheet and with break-off fore-end, the grip and fore-end chequered with a dot in the centre of each diamond, finely engraved silver mounts including skeleton butt-plate, behind the barrel tang the owner's initials 'WR' in silver wire, silver ramrod-pipes (two replaced), and silver ramrod-rib (some wear throughout), London proof marks and Foreigner's mark
