With rebrowned barrels signed 'Bird London' in gold on the rib and each stamped 'Deakin Patent Twisted' on the underside, silver fore-sight, case-hardened patent breeches each stamped 'Bird' on the underside and inlaid in gold with two partridges and a pointer in a landscape between gold bands, gold-lined touch-holes, engraved grooved tang, engraved locks each with roller, 'French cock', gold-lined rainproof pan, and gold-lined oval maker's stamp, figured walnut half-stock, cheek-piece, chequered grip, silver escutcheon, engraved iron mounts including trigger-guard with pineapple finial, and horn-tipped ramrod: in original lined and fitted case with accessories, mostly contemporary
