A pair of 22-bore French percussion officer's pistols, and a Swedish 18-bore percussion pistol
Each converted from flintlock, the first by Duchamp, Lyon, early 19th century, the second mid-18th century
The first with browned polygonal multigroove rifled sighted barrels, signed border engraved locks, figured walnut full stocks (old repair to one fore-end), chequered butts each fitted for an attachable shoulder stock, engraved iron mounts, and set triggers (one ramrod incomplete); the second with sighted three-stage etched twist barrel, plain lock, moulded lightly carved figured walnut full stock, and cast and chased white-metal mounts in the English taste
