A cased pair of 50-bore Belgian percussion target pistols
circa 1860
With rifled browned twist octagonal sighted barrels, engraved case-hardened patent breeches numbered 1 and 2 respectively, tangs en suite, case-hardened locks engraved with scrolls and flowerheads, figured walnut half-stocks carved with scrollwork in relief on the fore-ends and fluted butts, case-hardened iron mounts en suite with the locks, and much original finish: in original veneered lined and fitted case with accessories (lid warped), the lining of the lid with traces of stamped gilt signature, Liège proof marks
