A cased pair of 60-bore Irish back-action percussion pistols
By Trulock & Son, Dublin, circa 1840
With short etched twist octagonal barrels, silver fore-sights, case-hardened patent breeches, signed scroll engraved case-hardened rounded locks (one hammer broken), figured walnut three-quarter stocks (minor bruising), flattened chequered butts, scroll engraved iron trigger-guards with traces of original blue, one silver escutcheon engraved with owner's crest and motto (the other missing), and stirrup ramrods (one finial missing): in original lined and fitted oak case with cleaning rod
