Second quarter of the 18th Century
With tapering sighted barrels, flat border engraved locks each decorated with a grotesque and a bird, and with a trophy of the chase on each tail, blued pans, moulded figured walnut full stocks each carved with foliage in relief behind the barrel tangs and rear ramrod-pipes, full gilt-brass mounts including pierced serpentine side-plates, escutcheons with coronet above, and cast and chased butt-caps terminating in a grotesque mask, gilt-brass fore-end caps, blued triggers and trigger-plates, and original ramrods each with gilt-brass tip
