With tapering barrels and turned mouldings at the muzzle and breech, the latter engraved with a symmetrical design of strapwork and foliage above a small gold-inlaid foliate panel, engraved tangs, rounded border engraved locks each inscribed 'A. Kinot (sic)', figured walnut full stocks (one butt cracked and chipped), engraved iron mounts including spurred pommels, pierced silver ribbon side-plates in the style of Ketland & Co., silver escutcheons engraved with a crest, a phoenix, and the motto 'Vive et Vivas', turned iron ramrod-pipes, and original horn-tipped ramrods each with worn
