An unusual pair of 38-bore silver-mounted rifled flintlock pistols

With rebrowned twist octagonal sighted barrels each cut with fifteen grooves and with gold-lined crowned maker's stamp at the breech, gold line, and gold-lined touch-hole, finely engraved tangs, signed finely engraved bevelled locks each with roller, large safety-catch also locking the steel, and raised gold-lined pan (one cock and steel, and one side-nail replaced), figured walnut full stocks (minor cracks, repairs, and bruising) each carved with a floral spray behind the barrel tang, the butts cut with characteristic chequering, finely engraved silver mounts, silver ramrod-pipes, later iron belt hooks, horn fore-end caps, and original white-metal ramrods each with chequered tip, London proof marks, London silver hallmarks, maker's mark of Moses Brent
