Charon transporting Souls, Dante, Inferno, Canto 6

Drawings by Sabatelli illustrating scenes from Dante's Inferno are in the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Lille and in the Uffizi, B. Paolozzi Strozzi, Luigi Sabatelli, Disegni e Incisioni exhib. cat., Gabinetto disegni e stampe degli Uffizi, Florence, 1978, nos. 13-16, illustrated. These drawings are datable to the last Roman period of the artist (1789-1794).
