The cicular enamelled dial, with both Roman and Arabic chapters signed 'CH.les Bertrand/A PARIS', the movement with later escapment, the rope-twist bezel mounted on a drum within a berried ribbon-tied laurel-wreath, supported by a spreading part-fluted socle and flanked by a putto holding a cornucopia on the left and a putto holding an anchor on the right, on a eared moulded spreading base and an ebonised plinth mounted with scrolling acanthus, on engine-turned bell-shaped feet, one ormolu plaque of the plinth missing
