The twin barrel movement with silvered platform lever escapement with bimetallic balance, strike/repeat/alarm on gong on the backplate with stamp for Drocourt and numbered 11432, the Roman chapter disc with blued spade hands, the upper quadrant of the dial with jewelled gilt foliate decoration and the lower sector painted with a lady reading poetry in a garden, the sides painted with a lady on one side and her lover on the other playing the guitar both in wooded landscapes and within gilt and jewelled borders, the gorge case engraved with flowers on a hatched ground, similarly engraved top with glazed oval escapement viewing aperture and similarly engraved handle
