No. 1418 PARIS, Roman hour numerals, gold hour and minute hands, sector up-and-down dial (at XII) with gold hands, subsidiary seconds dial (at VI) with blued steel hand, light gilt frame punchmarked 5, top-plate inscribed L. Leroy & Cie. No. 1418, reversed fusee, Earnshaw escapement, Guillaume cut bimetallic balance with four small cylindrical heat compensation weights, blued steel helical balance spring, flat strip steel detent, brass bowl with internal counterweight, gimballed in plain three-tier mahogany box, the bottom with plinth overhang, the middle with bone ivory inset inscribed 1418 L. LEROY & CIE, double-throw lock, external brass drop handles
