The silvered dial signed and numbered, Barraud's LONDON 784, Roman hour numerals, subsidiary seconds (at XII), blued steel hands, window aperture up-and-down dial (at VI), top-plate inscribed Barraud's, Cornhill, LONDON. 784, Earnshaw escapement, cut bimetallic balance, segmental heat compensation weights, blued steel helical balance spring, dovetail detent with jewelled locking stone, fusee square with integral fitted winding assembly comprising brass disc with milled edge and tipsy work, contemporary brass bowl, later gimbal and plain three-tier mahogany box, the centre section with inset bone ivory disc inscribed BARRAUDS 784, external brass drop handles
