The case with rising hood flanked by spiral columns and with carved flower and shell cresting, the cross-banded trunk door with spoon locking and oyster veneer cross-banded, the 10 in. sq. dial signed Joseph Knibb Londini fecit with skeletonised silvered chapter ring with finely pierced blued steel hands, matted centre, winged cherub spandrels, wheatear-engraved border, latches to the dial feet and to the ten ringed pillars of the three train movement with triple divided front-plate, outside countwheels striking on two bells, anchor escapement with butterfly nut regulation; with restorations
