The shouldered brass dial with narrow silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with pierced blued steel hands, calendar aperture to the matted centre, foliate spandrels, the upper spandrels interrupted by twin subsidiary rings for strike/silent and pendulum regulation flanking the signature Allam & Clements, London, the five pillar twin fusee movement with verge escapement and strike on bell, pendulum swivel holdfast to the backplate engraved with scrolling foliage and a central basket of flowers, similarly engraved movement securing brackets to the case with gilt-brass-lined inverted bell top surmounted by the handle and with four foliate urn finials, finely pierced and chased foliate-cast gilt-metal sound frets to the sides, the gilt-brass moulded base on small bracket feet
