The silvered break-arch dial with Roman chapter ring and blued moon hands, central silvered alarm disc engraved, in the centre Grimalde & Johnson, Strand, London, subsidiary strike/silent ring in the arch, the five pillar twin-fusee [wire lines] movement with anchor escapement and strike/trip repeat/alarm on bell above, the plain backplate with repeat signature and movement securing brackets, the brass-lined case with foliate gilt-brass loop handle to the inverted bell top, pierced fishscale sound frets to the sides, and on brass toupie feet, with original brass-lined ogee-moulded wall bracket en suite
