The white enamel Roman dial within a fine ormolu bezzel cast with a trellis and rope-twist design, finely sculpted counterpoised blued steel hands, the slightly recessed white enamel dial centre with a rope-twist ormolu border and having subsidiary seconds ring and signed Lehrner within a foliate cartouche, the movement with narrow rectangular plates having four pillars and delicate end-capped wheel train with six crossings, Graham-type deadbeat escapement with fine adjustment to the crutchpiece for the grid-iron pendulum with five brass and steel rods spring-suspended from a steel bracket secured to the backboard, massive brass-cased weight, the case with large rectangular glazed panel to the stepped top, two-part glazed panels to the sides and front door with twin-key lock system with foliate escutcheons, the plinth base on a simple moulded skirt with Gothic style boxwood inlay
