Contemporary speckled calf, spine gilt in seven compartments with raised bands, red morocco lettering-piece in second, the uppermost with onlaid red morocco lozenge gilt-tooled with elephant crest (slight damage to lettering-piece). Provenance: Sir Andrew Fountaine (binding).

A fine, large subscriber's copy. The work was published posthumously based on Chishull's diary, and edited by Richard Mead. Chishull was chaplain to the Levant Company in Smyrna from 1698 to 1702. Blackmer 341.
