Engraved frontispiece, title vignette, 10 double-page plates, 44 full-page illustrations, 33 head- or tailpieces, 11 initials. (Small tear to outer blank margin of Dd1, occasional light browning.) Contemporary English calf gilt, red morocco lozenge gilt-tooled with elephant crest onlaid to uppermost compartment of spine, by Christopher Chapman (spine chipped at head, small split to upper joint). A fine copy of a work that was first issued in 1650; this edition includes four more illustrations than the original. The plates and full-page illustrations are after Charles Errard.
