(First title neatly laid down, old repaired tear to +3, lacking +4.) Contemporary French red morocco gilt, covers with double-fillet border enclosing a centrally-placed monogram (Guigard II,p.389) of Peiresc, spine in six sections with raised bands, lettered in the second, the others with repeat overall decoration of pointillé volutes, the uppermost with onlaid blue morocco lozenge gilt tooled with elephant crest, g.e.
