Pont-au-Change, Paris (L.D., W.34; S. 40)
etching, 1854, on Van Gelder laid paper, apparently an intermediate state between the ninth state (of twelve) and tenth, with the monogram but without the title, a fine, atmospheric impression printed with tone, with narrow margins, a deckle edge at the right, pale residual staining, a repaired tear at the upper left sheet edge, some abrasions in the margins (fractionally affecting the subject at the lower right corner), a few minor pin holes in the upper margin, other defects, otherwise generally in good condition
