拍品專文

The present piece is related in style to a number of works executed between 1630 and 1670 by the Salzburg sculptors Hans Pernegger the Younger and Jakob Gerold, notably the Tomb of Abbot Sigismund (d. 1634) at Seeon and the statues of Saints Augustine and Norbert on the portal of the church at Schägl dating from 1638 by the former, and the Epitaph of Georg Scheindel of 1631 at Tittmoning, as well as the statue of Saint Rupert on the choir altar of the Wallfahrtskirche at Tamsberg of 1659-1661, and the figures of Rupert and Virgil of 1664, originally from Köstendorf and now in the Residenzmuseum in Salzburg.
