On a later rectangular wooden plinth; the exterior embellished with painted scrolls and flowers; with two large padlocks with concealed keyholes and a concealed lock in the top of the lid; the hinged lid opening to reveal a lock shooting seven bolts with a pierced and engraved steel case signed at top centre 'Joh:Offo'; the interior with a secondary compartment with lock and hinged lid.
Some wear to painted decoration; some oxidisation to lock case.
