18th and 19th Century, the first marked for Paris 1783-89, the last with indistinct maker's mark
The first of oval form, with stopper and gold hinged-cover and mounts, 3½ in. (9 cm.) high; the second of oval form, with stopper and silver-gilt mounts, 5 in. (12.5 cm.) high; the third of cylindrical form, with overlaid gold screw-top cover, 3¾ in. (9.5 cm.) high; the fourth pear-shaped with silver-gilt hinged cover and mount, 4¼ in. (11 cm.) high; the fifth tear-shaped with silver-gilt hinged cover and mounts, 4¼ in. (11 cm.) high; some with mounts detached (5)
