Circa 1860, some with indistinct French maker's marks to the mounts
Including a ruby-flash example with clear glass stopper and hinged silver cover and mount, 3¾ in. (9.5 cm.) high; two blue-flash examples, one with clear glass stopper and hinged gilt-metal mount, 3 5/8 in. (9.3 cm.) high, the second with cork stopper and hinged silver mount, 3¾ in. (9.5 cm.) high; and a clear glass example with hinged silver cover and mount, 4¼ in. (11 cm.) high, all enriched in gilt with foliate scrolls, minute chips and wear to gilding (4)
