The circular glazed enamelled dial with Arabic numerals within a rockwork and acanthus C-scroll drum supported by entwined branches issuing polychrome-painted flowerheads and tole peînte leaves, the shaped base supporting a Meissen porcelain group of a rearing horse surmounted by Venus wearing a tricorn hat, on a pierced rockwork, acanthus, and C-scroll base, the movement inscribed 'PL5-12', with label to the underside 'Alexandre Popoff - 48 r. Cambon, Paris Garanti Ancien', some of the flowers replaced at a later date
