Provenance
Formerly the property of the late Sir Fitzroy Maclean Bt. Kt. who inherited the necklace from his grandmother, Mrs George Royle, the doyenne of British society in Egypt circa 1890-1914 and by family tradition from the Countess de Longueville, rescued by her ancestor from Paris during the French revolution.
