Lot Essay

A simple rivière of diamonds was popular with ladies of the 19th and early 20th Centuries. Most contained diamonds of an inferior quality, not suitable for mounting as rings owing to their poor clarity. The present example is rare owing to the combination of clarity, colour and size.
