Lot Essay

A Portrait of a young Gentleman by de Vois on a copper plate of identical size, also showing a half-length figure looking up to the right against an architectural background with a landscape by the right edge, stylistically similar and also with the signature in an upper corner, was sold in these Rooms, 11 December 1992, lot 73.

A picture of the same subject, showing the (same?) girl full-length, is at Dresden.
