Each finely enamelled around the exterior with four roundels enclosing various scenes of figures in mountainous riverscapes, one roundel in full colour and the other three outlined en grisaille with some colour highlights, reserved on a yellow ground embellished with lotus blooms and incised with a foliate scroll-pattern, the interior decorated with a central octofoil motif issuing ruyi-heads and flowers, one with two rim hair-cracks
