maker's mark of William Pitts and Joseph Preedy, London, 1794
Oval and on four lion's paw and acanthus foliage feet, the base with gallery rim, fitted with three bottle holders, two on shaped triangular plinth flanking a square plinth with cut-corners and drawer, with husk and drop-ring handle, the two smaller bottle holders with acanthus foliage and lion's paw feet hung between with female mask and floral swags, the central bottle holder on four similar feet hung between with berried husk swags and with pendant rosette and foliage decoration, each with cut-glass vase with silver-gilt detachable cover with fluted border, marked on base, plinths, bottle holders, drawer and cover
