Realistically modelled, the dog wearing a gilt-trimmed blue collar and reclining on a floral cushion, the partially gilt edges imitating lacework with tassle corner decorations, the base inscribed 'Chien favori de feu S.M. l'Impratrice Cathrine de Russie', marked under base
