the thimble engraved with foliate sections, the faceted case engraved with alternate strapwork designs, the body unscrewing at several points to reveal a cotton bobbin, a wax recess, a powder sprinkler and a needle-case, with seal terminal, Continental, indistinctly marked seal end, late eighteenth century -- 10.5cms
