A study for the Madonna and the frightened child in the Madonna del Soccorso in the Galleria Palatina, Florence, Marabottini, op. cit., no. 21, tav. XV. The picture, signed and dated 1593, was painted for the church of Santa Maria Soprarno but was subsequently sold when the church was destroyed. The picture was bought for the Galleria Palatina in 1958. Further studies showing the same technique for the altarpiece are in the Uffizi, Marabottini, op. cit., nos. 21a-c, illustrated.
