A PEWTER-MOUNTED GERMAN FAIENCE TANKARD, DATED 1760, of baluster fvorm, painted in shades of blue, green, yellow and manganese, the neck with stylized foliage, the shoulder inscribed ULAHLA HONCIRK 1760, the body with an oval trophy of gardening tools enclosed within a wreath and a further yellow border reserved on a blue ground, flanked by similar ovals each enclosing a pot of sunflowers, a band of stylized flowers and garlands below, the hinged pewter cover with ball thumb rest and incised J.J.S.O. 1762
