A SILK ON LINEN NEEDLEWORK PICTURE, Sarah Low, Danvers, Massachusetts, dated 1794, worked in green, gold, brown and ivory silk threads in a variety of stitches depicting two young girls standing between two trees in a field, one holding flowers, the other holding her hat with fence and tree in the distance beyond, the upper right corner with a house surrounded by trees, the upper left corner with the wrought identification "Sarah Low Her work 1794 Danvers" within a green sawtooth box surround, the whole enclosed by a brown foliate vine border (stains to central field, small tear on right border) --14½in. x 12¼in.
