A FEDERAL MAHOGANY GILTWOOD AND EGLOMISE BANJO CLOCK, dial signed Simon Willard, Roxbury, Massachusetts, circa 1815, with gilt acorn finial above a circular dial face with Roman chapter ring within a red and green-painted floral and foliate band enclosed by a brass bezel over a flaring eglomise panel with gilt, green and black latticework and modified sunburst decoration enclosed by gilt rope-twist surround and flanked by pierced scrolled open brass spandrels above a rectangular eglomise panel with similar decoration and inscribed " S. WILLARD'S PATENT " with gilt rope-twist surround over a tapering fluted pendant with hanging gilt spherules and gilt acorn drop (repairs)--42½in. high, 10½in. wide, 3¾in. deep
