THE 'MARTINSYDE' FLIGHT The second Transatlantic air mail flight was attempted by Major F.P. Raynham and Major C.F. Morgan in the 'Raymor'. Since there was not enough time to overprint the stamps used for the flight, normal 3c Caribou issue postage stamps were given manuscript overprints. The plane crashed upon take-off, ending the attempted flight.
