THIRD QUARTER OF THE 19TH CENTURY, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS AND ASSORTED CANCELLATION MARKS, DECORATOR'S GILT 47 TO EACH PIECE

Painted in the 1730's style with European harbor scenes within elaborate gilt strapwork cartouches and puce Chinoiserie figures, wear to gilt edges, comprising:

An oval tray with shell handles, triple cancellation mark, incised 'No. 8.' and impressed '36', restored rim chips, 17½in. (44.5cm.) wide overall
A globular teapot and cover, double cancellation mark,impressed 'g' and '5', bud finial restuck, 8in. (20.3cm.) wide overall
A sugar-bowl and cover, single cancellation mark, 4 5/8in. (11.8cm.) high
A cream-jug, double cancellation mark, incised twice '53', rim chip to spout, 4¼in. (10.9cm.) high
Two teacups and saucers, single cancellation marks, one saucer restored, 5 3/8in. (13.6cm.) diam. of saucers (8)
