CHOSON DYNASTY (15TH-16TH CENTURY)

Constructed in the form of a rice bale moulded with a short neck and wide, flared mouth, decorated in white slip and in underglaze iron-brown with a flower spray on each side within stylized leaves and lines and a leaf border on one end, covered by a celadon-tinged transparent glaze, one end of vessel unglazed--10¾in. (27.3cm.) long, 7 1/8in. (18.1cm.) high, restoration to body and mouth
