Of ovoid form with high shoulders and upright, cylindrical rim, painted in deep underglaze blue with a stand of bamboo and with a stand of flowering plum and inscribed in large characters 'plum' and 'bamboo' in the open space between the two trees, and additional single line in underglaze blue surrounding the foot, the body of the jar covered with a milky white glaze--14 5/8in. (37.3cm.) high, neck restored, body crack
