WANLI SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD

The bulbous lower body well painted with three dragons leaping amidst composite foliate scroll in pursuit of flaming pearls between ruyi-head borders, below a wide band of lotus scroll on the base of the neck and a band of pendent, beaded chains on the garlic-head mouth set below a band of pendent leaf tips, the short, inwardly rounded mouth rim painted with detached clouds interrupted by the nianhao in a rectangular reserve, base unglazed
