QIANLONG SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD

The four sides molded with the Eight Trigrams divided into two vertical rows and painted in black and brown with yinyang symbols on a gilt background, all reserved on a deep ruby ground decorated with leafy sprays of various flowers delicately painted in famille rose enamels, within narrow gilt borders, with a band of conjoined ruyi heads encircling the slightly tapering neck and a band of foliate scroll encircling the spreading pedestal foot above a narrow band of detached flower sprays reserved on a yellow ground, an opaque turquoise glaze covering the interior of the neck and the base surrounding the nianhao, gilding and foot rim rubbed
