A PAIR OF DAYAZHAI TURQUOISE-GROUND WARMING BOWLS AND COVERS
LATE QING DYNASTY

Each decorated in famille rose enamels on a pale turquoise ground with a lishui band encircling the spreading pedestal foot and a bird perched in a wisteria vine beside a rose branch on the sides of the bowl, with a pair of gilded, molded masks on either side suspending a wire handle, the shallow, domed cover similarly decorated below a gilded Buddhistic lion finial, with a separate bowl with gilded, everted rim set into the interior
