Carved in the form of a woven basket on which crawl five turtles, a fifth and sixth turtle balanced on the lid of the basket which forms the top of the container; fitted with a matching large netsuke carved with a large turtle in its shell supporting a pyramid of four, signed Gekko--4 1/8in. (10.5cm.) high
