Of rectangular shape with rounded corners decorated with the scene of Changliang (Choryo) handing the shoe he has retrieved from the river and the dragon swimming there to the 'Yellow stone Elder', Huang Shegung (Kosekiko), shown on the opposite side of the inro as a bearded old man crossing a bridge on horseback, rendered in takamaki-e, hiramaki-e and togidashi with details in kirgane, inlaid ivory and black lacquer, the interior cases nashiji; fitted with an ivory netsuke modelled as Jurojin holding a large peach and with a carnelian agate ojime--3 3/8in. (8.5cm.) high
