EDO PERIOD (19TH CENTURY), SIGNED MOEI AND SEALED

Of rectangular shape and oval section decorated in togidashi in gold, silver and black and in roiro with the Takasago couple raking and sweeping on the beach bordered by a large pine, rendered in gold in togidashi on the opposite side of the inro, the interior cases roiro; fitted with an ivory netsuke in the form of a carp on waves and with a lacquered bead ojime--3 1/8in. (7.9cm.) high
