Of flattened rectangular form, decorated in fundame and iro-e hiramaki-e and takamaki-e with a figure of Monju Bosatsu seated on his lion and holding a reishi scepter resting on his shoulder before a mandorla rendered in togidashi, the reverse decorated with two pigeons resting on a branch of prunus, the ground hirame accented with mura-nashiji; nashiji interior and coral bead ojime-- 3 1/8in.
