Of rectangular form fitted with a hinged door opening to four drawers with silver pulls, ornamented in gold takamaki-e on grounds of dark silver and gold with autumn grasses, against the silver reserves, and with lotus scroll, with inlaid aogai blossoms, against the gold, the inside of the door and the the faces of the three drawers decorated in gold hiramaki-e, nashiji and silver lacquer with plovers over waves, the interiors of the drawers nashiji and the base of the kodansu patterned with gold and silver grasses on a nashiji ground, silver mounts--7½ x 4½ x 5in. (19.1 x 11.4 x 12.7cm.)
